Mission Magnum I Centrifuagal Pumps

Engineered for extreme duty, the Mission Magnum I Series Pumps represent a pinnacle of reliability and cost-effective performance in handling abrasive slurries and corrosive fluids. These centrifugal pumps are built to withstand the relentless demands of sectors like oil and gas, mining, and heavy industrial processing, delivering superior uptime and longevity where it matters most.

A key differentiator is the series' standardized power end, a universal design across all model sizes that dramatically streamlines inventory and service procedures. This innovative approach, combined with a ruggedized architecture, ensures these pumps provide maximum value through reduced lifecycle costs and simplified upkeep.

Core Advantages & Engineering Excellence of Mission Magnum I Centrifuagal Pumps

  • Unmatched Durability: Constructed around a heavy-duty 2.5" alloy steel shaft and a thickened, single-piece casing, the Magnum I is fortified against wear. Critical components like double-row bearings are rated for continuous 200 HP operation, while replaceable sleeves and a robust stuffing box cover further extend service intervals.

  • Precision Hydraulic Performance: The advanced open impeller with wide-tipped vanes and a tangential suction design is specifically engineered for challenging slurries. This configuration ensures smooth, non-clogging fluid passage, minimizes axial thrust, and maintains high efficiency when moving abrasive mixtures.

  • Configurable for Your Application: With a selection of metallurgies including hard iron, stainless steel, aluminum bronze, and proprietary Magnachrome™ high-chrome alloy, the pump can be precisely matched to the corrosiveness and abrasiveness of your fluid. Sealing solutions are equally flexible, offering both gland packing and mechanical seals for near-zero leakage control.

  • Adaptable by Design: Engineered for versatility, the series features a compact, shortened shaft to fit space-limited installations. It supports a wide range of drive options—from electric motors and diesel engines to hydraulic systems—in horizontal, vertical, or close-coupled configurations, making it ideal for both fixed-plant and mobile operations.

Features of High-Chrome Magnum I Series Pumps

Thicker, Stronger, Concentric Casing

The high-chrome magnum I alternative concentric pump casings are heavier and stronger to outlast conventional pumps. The casings are thicker for extra strength and extended service life. The concentric design allows the distance between the impeller and the casing to be the same at all points. The concentric casing eliminates turbulence and cavitation within the pump. It also reduces the radial load on the bearings. The full pipe diameter of the pump entrance. The housing gasket is recessed to protect it from fluid leaving the impeller.

Wider Open Impeller, Increased Re-circulation Area

The high-chrome magnum I alternative pumps' open impeller eliminates re-circulation that occurs in closed impellers. The impeller is designed to reduce turbulence, lower radial and thrust loads, and provides a smooth flow of fluid through the pump. Casing wear is reduced by eliminating the high scrubbing action that occurs on conventional pumps. The high-chrome magnum I alternative pump impeller is designed to allow fluid leaving the impeller to blend with recirculating fluid to reduce abrasive wear of the casing. The open impeller has no exposed impeller nuts or shaft threads. The impeller is screwed on and the threads are protected by an O-ring. The high chrome magnum I alternative pump and impeller are designed to increase service life many times over that of conventional pumps.

Heavy Duty Big Diameter Shaft

The shaft of high-chrome magnum I alternative pump has a greater diameter to provide heavy-duty performance with minimal shaft deflection. The replaceable shaft sleeve allows the wear from the packing to be renewed without replacing the entire shaft. The shaft sleeve and mechanical seal can be replaced without removing the shaft from the pump.

Easy Maintenance Highest Quality Bearings

The high-chrome magnum I alternative pump bearings are designed for easy maintenance. The outboard bearing assembly is comprised of two angular contact bearings with high thrust load ratings and zero end play. The inboard bearing is a heavy-duty, double row ball bearing with high radial load capacity to compensate for the larger impeller sizes and heavy-duty applications. The magnum I alternative pump only uses the best bearings available.
