QJ Deep Well Pumps

The QJ series is a type of deep well submersible pump where the motor and the multi-stage pump are directly coupled into a single unit, designed to operate submerged in water. This equipment is suitable for extracting groundwater from deep wells and can also be used in water lifting projects involving rivers, reservoirs, and canals. Its primary applications include agricultural irrigation, potable water supply for humans and livestock in plateau and mountainous regions, as well as water supply and drainage for cities, factories, railways, mines, and construction sites. It is a high-efficiency, energy-saving product designed.

Operating Conditions

To ensure proper operation and service life, the pump must be used under the following conditions:

  • Power Supply: 50 Hz, 380V ±5%, three-phase AC power.

  • Water Level & Depth:

    The pump inlet must be at least 1 meter below the dynamic water level.

    The submersion depth must not exceed 70 meters below the static water level.

    The motor bottom should be at least 1 meter above the well bottom.


  • Water Temperature: Generally should not exceed 20°C.

  • Water Quality:

    Solid content (including sand): ≤ 0.01% by weight.

    pH Value: Between 6.5 and 8.5.

    Chloride Ion Content: ≤ 400 mg/L.

  • Well Condition: The well must be vertical, with a smooth borehole wall and no misaligned casing joints.


Key Installation Guidelines

Pre-Installation Checks:

  • Verify well diameter, static water level, and power supply compliance.

  • Ensure the pump shaft rotates freely without binding.

  • Fill the motor cavity with clean water completely, ensuring no air pockets, and seal plugs tightly. Check for leaks.

  • Measure motor insulation resistance (≥ 150 MΩ at 500V).

  • Prepare suitable hoisting tools (e.g., tripod, chain hoist).

  • Install protective switches and starting equipment.

  • Perform a brief motor start check (≤1 second) to confirm rotation direction matches the nameplate. Reverse any two power connections if incorrect.


Installation Process:

  • Assemble and lower riser pipes section by section, using clamps and flanges with gaskets, tightening bolts diagonally.

  • Secure the power cable firmly within the grooves on the riser pipe flanges. Protect the cable from damage during lowering.

  • If obstruction occurs during lowering, address the cause carefully. Do not force the pump down.

  • Personnel are strictly prohibited from entering the well during installation.

  • Install auxiliary safety measures (e.g., steel wire rope捆绑 from motor base to riser pipe) as a protective precaution.


Electrical Connection:

  • Use full-voltage starting for motors ≤15kW (or ≤25kW if power supply permits). Use reduced-voltage starting for motors >15kW.

  • Install protection and starting devices behind the user's distribution board. The board should include voltmeters, ammeters, indicator lights, and be placed appropriately in the well house.
