TL FGD Slurry Pump

The TL/TLR Series is a horizontal, axial suction, single-stage, single-suction centrifugal pump specifically engineered for demanding Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) applications. It excels as an absorber recycle pump, utilizing limestone/gypsum slurries to remove SO₂ from exhaust flue gases in fossil-fuel power plants and waste incineration processes. The pump is designed for high efficiency, exceptional reliability, and minimal lifetime cost.

Key Features & Benefits of TL FGD Slurry Pump

1. Robust Structural Design

Key Features & Benefits of TL FGD Slurry Pump

  • Back Pull-Out Design: This suspension structure allows for the inspection and removal of all rotating components, including the impeller and mechanical seal, without disturbing the suction or discharge pipework. This ensures quick, easy maintenance and reduces downtime.

  • Dual Casing Options: The pump features a versatile single-layer shell design, available with either a replaceable double casing of alloy metal liner (TL) or a rubber lining (TLR), providing superior adaptability to specific abrasive and corrosive conditions.

  • X Bracket Support: The compact and tightly structured X bracket saves significant installation space while providing robust support for the pump assembly.

2. Advanced Hydraulic & Performance Engineering

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Optimized: The wet-end parts are designed using advanced CFD flow simulation analysis techniques, ensuring optimal hydraulic performance, high efficiency, and reliable operation across a wide flow range.

  • Efficiency Sustainment: The impeller's position within the casing can be adjusted via the bearing assembly, allowing the pump to maintain peak operational efficiency throughout its service life.

3. Superior Wear & Corrosion Resistance

  • Optimized Impeller Technology: Impellers, available in high-chromium iron (e.g., A49 Ultrachrome) or specialized anti-wear alloys, are formulated in our material technology laboratories. Combined with an optimized vane design, this minimizes wear and maximizes service life.

  • Corrosion-Proof Liners: Natural rubber liners (for the TLR model) are entirely resistant to acidic limestone/gypsum slurries. This eliminates the corrosion risks associated with metal-lined pumps, especially when stagnant, low-pH slurry is left in the pump during non-operation.

  • Specialized Material Suite: Key components like the volute liner, suction plate, and back plate are constructed from specialized anti-wear and anti-corrosive materials, while suction covers are made of ductile iron with rubber lining for enhanced durability.

4. Enhanced Reliability & Long Service Life

  • Heavy-Duty Bearing System: The assembly incorporates oversized, heavy-duty, oil-lubricated roller and taper roller bearings. A large diameter, stiff shaft and short impeller overhang minimize shaft deflection, creating excellent conditions for the mechanical seal and carrying all radial and thrust loads with high service factors, resulting in exceptionally long bearing life.

  • Integrated Sealing Solutions: The pump offers multiple shaft seal options to prevent leakage, including Packing Seal, Expeller Seal, and specialized cartridge mechanical seals for FGD applications. The integrated mechanical seal design ensures reliable operation, eliminates leakage, and extends service intervals.

Applications of TL FGD Slurry Pump

Primarily deployed as the circulating pump for the absorbent tower in FGD systems.
